Introduction

The RDK X5 AI Module is powered by the D-Robotics X5 AI system-on-chip (SoC), offering high integration, powerful performance, and outstanding energy efficiency to provide core computing power support for various intelligent applications. The module features a Bayesian-architecture single-core BPU (Neural Network Processor), enabling real-time pixel-level video segmentation, structured video analysis and attention-based visual perception, accurately capturing dynamic scene details.
It also integrates an Octa-core Cortex A55 CPU along with a HiFi5 DSP that supports voice wake-up, delivering strong multi-core collaborative processing capabilities to meet complex task requirements. Built-in professional Image Signal Processor (ISP), supports Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) / High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing as well as 3DNR noise reduction technology, effectively enhancing camera image clarity and color reproduction. Equipped with H.265 / H.264 / MJPEG video codecs and a 3D GPU supporting OpenGL ES 3.1 / 3.0 / 2.0 / 1.1, it easily handles high-definition video encoding/decoding and graphics rendering tasks.

The module also features an integrated power management IC, DC-DC converter, provides options for LPDDR4 RAM and eMMC storage, to ensure stable system operation. It supports a variety of interfaces including HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, MIPI CSI, and MIPI DSI for diverse peripheral connectivity. And optional for dual-band (2.4GHz / 5GHz) wireless module, supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 protocols. Onboard high-performance antenna and external antenna connector, ensuring stable and high-speed wireless communication, making it suitable for mobile scenarios and long-range data transmission.
